My Lying Eyes
Preface
This Poem is meant to elaborate on the frustration of a protagonist pushed into a corner where they feel there are no options to defend themselves. I do not mean this as a threat or plan for violence or anyone to take these words and do so.
It seems I cannot take a leak without pissing off the world anymore
Yust to be two choices
To stand or squat
Based on the pluming you got
Now Transgender is on the door
My lying Eyes tells me this is all chicanery
My lying Eyes tells me you took what once was black and white
What was right and wrong
Seems more like a Rorschach test going on
Dividing us, and encouraging the fight.
My Lying eyes tell me that your conscience is empty
My Lying eyes tell me you look for fear to divide
Pitting the PRO and Choice
Vieing who have or don't have a voice
Leaving us in two camps
Who believe every word of the other is a lie
My lying eyes tell me you stand on the very threshold of our Dwellings
My lying eyes tell me, there you stand and knock
Collecting the last freedoms we got
Whether it's health or guns
Speach or Funds
Compulsorily donations,
Either comply or be sanctioned
Any oversight need not apply
My lying eyes tell me this is far from over
My lying eyes tell me you won't relent
Until there is no one left to decent
The bolt is racked
The scope on point
The safety flipped
Tell me once again
To My squinted Lying Eyes
